Otarre Pointe Apartment Homes redefines luxury apartment home living with a small town charm.
Be a part of a masterfully planned community where living... means really living. To our team, you aren't just a number; you're a guest who is greeted warmly by name. We know that you have a black Labrador Retriever named "Gracie" who likes to stop by the Clubroom on Fridays to get a dog treat (or two). We send you a birthday card in the mail just to let you know we are thankful for your residency and wishing you have a wonderful day!
"Live on Pointe" is our way of saying Otarre Pointe has the lifestyle you have longed to enjoy. You'll feel at home the moment you walk in the door.
For the times that you feel like going out and exploring, let us pointe out a few suggestions:
Otarre Point is situated minutes away from Three Rivers Greenway, where you can go for a jog, a bicycle ride, walk your pets or simply enjoy the tranquil serenity as you sit upon a bench and listen to the sounds of the river. Other parks close by: Memorial Park, Columbia Riverfront Park and Finley Park.
Directly across the street is Cayce Tennis and Fitness Center. Leagues, Programs, Clinics, Summer Camp, you name it, they offer it! Adventure Carolina offers guided canoeing and kayaking trips on the Congaree River which is very close by. Plan a get-together with friends and schedule a tubing trip which is a fun, relaxing way to spend the day!
Take a hike in the 22,000 acre forest National Congaree Park and see the tallest trees in the eastern US. Don't forget your binoculars; this park is also a "Continentally Important Bird Area"! Lake Murray isn't just for camping and fishing, take a Lake Murray Purple Martin Cruise to Bomb Island, which is the largest purple martin sanctuary in the country to see hundreds of thousands of vibrantly colored birds arrive for a good night's rest.
Imagine so many fine dining options just a short drive away: Garibaldi's of Columbia, Terra, Gervais & Vine, Ruth's Chris Steak House, Mr. Friendly's New Southern Café, Motor Supply Company Bistro, Saluda's, Solstice Kitchen & Wine Bar... The options are endless.
If you're in the mood to listen to live jazz music, nibble on tapas while unwinding with friends or just have fun people watching, try out one of these establishments: Liberty Taproom & Grill, The Blue Martini, The Flying Saucer, Hunter-Gatherer Brewery, Gervais & Vine, Hush, Mac's on Main, Delaney's Speakeasy or Rust.
Otarre Pointe is only three miles away from the Cayce Historical Museum. The main building in the museum complex is a replica of a trading post which was built in 1765. Not only is it educational, it is free on Sundays! Other funs ways to spend the day: a trip to Frankie's Fun Park, visiting the South Carolina Building & State House, animal watching at the Riverbanks Zoo and Gardens, exploring EdVenture, viewing the exhibits at the South Carolina State Museum or watching a puppet show at the Columbia Marionette Theatre which is the only purpose-built Marionette theatre in the US. Make sure you visit the gift shop!
Shop until you drop! The Villages at Sandhill, Columbia Centre, Columbia Place Mall and Richland Mall are the largest venues, but everyone raves about these shops and shopping districts areas as well: Happy Bookseller, Devine Street, Papa Jazz, One Eared Cow Glass, Kicks Exceptional Shoes, Cromer's P-Nuts, The Vista and The Gourmet Shop. If it isn't here, you don't need it!
There is never a shortage of college games to attend during football, basketball and baseball season since Columbia is home to the University of South Carolina Gamecocks! Attend the latest concert at the Colonial Life Arena or watch a play put on by the Columbia Children's Theatre, you will be glad you did. Support the arts by visiting the place where local artists show off their talents (Art Studios in the Arcade) or take a lesson in drum and dance (Borenya West African Drum and Dance).
